On flights to and from the Americas and Africa, Emirates uses the piece concept: each bag may weigh up to 23 kg — one piece on Special fares, two pieces on Saver, Flex and Flex Plus fares.
On weight-concept routes you can check as many bags as you like within your total allowance, but no single bag may weigh more than 32 kg, and each bag must stay within 203 cm total (length + width + height). On piece-concept routes each piece must stay within 150 cm total, with oversize fees applying up to 203 cm.
Emirates lists a maximum cabin bag of 55 x 38 x 22 cm at 7 kg for Economy passengers. Bags that look oversized are commonly checked at the gate, so measure including wheels and handles and stay within the limit.
Yes — even the cheapest Economy Special fare includes 20 kg of checked baggage on weight-concept routes. The allowance rises to 25 kg on Saver, 30 kg on Flex and 35 kg on Flex Plus fares.
If your bag exceeds your allowance, Emirates charges excess baggage fees, which are charged per kilogram and vary by route. Buying extra allowance online before you fly is cheaper than paying at the airport.
